About Morning Interest
Morning Interest is a daily briefing on the business of consumer credit: co-brand and private label cards, buy now, pay later and installment lending, fintech and new entrants, bank regulation and charters, and the rates and consumer data that drive them. It is written for finance professionals in banking and fintech who want the day's news in one place, with the numbers and context behind it.
How it is made
Each issue is compiled every morning from public sources: company filings and earnings calls, regulators, the trade press, Federal Reserve data and consumer surveys. Research and drafting use AI tools; the sources and watchlist are curated by Paul Ivinskas, and every item links to its source so you can check it. Figures should be confirmed against the original filings before you rely on them. Nothing here is investment advice.

Morning Interest is curated by Paul Ivinskas, who works in consumer credit. It is a personal project and does not speak for any employer, and companies are covered on their news alone.
